Pit Bull puppy therapist!

At Colorado Veterinary clinic a Pit Bull puppy named Dominic is contributing to the recovery of sick and injured animals. The amazing thing about it is that all he has to do is give them a good cuddle. Not only does he care for animals he also cares for the veterinary tech's son she said; "When my 4-year-old is in tears, he'll run to Dominic and they'll 'hug.'" As animals at the clinic get out of surgery Dominic helps calm them down even if they are aggressive. Basically it is his job to run around and cater to the animals in the place.

Seeing Eye Dogs for Dogs?

Two 8 month old stray dogs were found on October fifth and their loyalty goes much deeper then just being brothers. Jermaine acts as Jeffery's guide dog, Jeffery is blind. These two inseparable pups have captivated thousands of people and as many as 30 people have submitted applications to adopt them where as most dogs are lucky to get one. Ray Little, the director of Life Saving at Operation Ava has received over 300 emails about these two dogs from as far away as Africa and the UK and from every State as well. Though dogs are social animals Little thinks this case is special, "I think this is a little bit extraordinary in my experience because they're so careful with one another and play together so well," Little said. "It almost seems like Jermaine understands that Jeffrey has an issue seeing."

Pit Bull Shot with Arrows

One Monday afternoon Erin Dodson came own to find that her beloved Pit Bull named "Spaz"  was shot with a bow an arrow multiple times. She immediately rushed Spaz to the Animal Emergency Center for surgery. The surgeon Dr. Joe Bills Reynolds pulled three arrows out of Spaz, whom is extremely lucky. If the arrows were a couple inches to the left or right the dog probably would not have made it. Doctor Reynolds has dealt with many animals but to see one that was deliberately targeted greatly disturbed him. “This is someone’s pet, someone’s kid,” he said. “You know, they just don’t need to be doing that kind of thing. It’s really sad.”. Spaz is now recovering and will hopefully return to his family soon. Unfortunately the police have no leads as to who could possibly have done this to Spaz, but hopefully the criminal is brought to justice.

Kitten Falls into Pipe.

When a family friend called Dottie Segretario saying her husband could hear a kitten beneath their home her, and her 12 year old son, Jacob Starr, went out to investigate. Jacob bravely crawled under the house and used his cell phone as a light to search for the kitten. He found the kitten at the bottom of a pipe and couldn't reach it. His grandmother suggested using a scarf to stick in there and get the kitten out. As they put the scarf in the kitten grabbed it and after an hour's effort managed to pull the kitten out. The kitten spent the night at they're house and was then taken to the vet  where it was found to have fleas but no other problems. Kitten in Microwave Gets New Home!

Most fifteen year old girls find fun in gossiping, playing games, sports, or other past times. When a couple of teenage girls in Maine came upon an 8 week old kitten, they decided to put it in a microwave, then post a video of it on twitter.Shortly after the police found the online video the kitten was taken from the home and rushed to the animal shelter. The kitten (whom was quite appropriately named: Miracle) arrived at the shelter, struggling to keep her temperature up, absorb proper nutrients, and also had a bad case of fleas.
After a few weeks of rehabilitation Miracle is now happy in her new home. The girls whom did this got charged with animal abuse/ cruelty.

Jack the Cat Hero.

 When one thinks of a dog, one will think of "mans best friend" but recently one courageous pit bull will be forever known as hero to one little cat named Kitty. Jack is a young Pit Bull whom is being taken care of by a woman named Sherree Louis. One day Sherree was walking outside with Jack and spotted two coyotes with Kitty in their jaws shaking her violently. Jack rushed to Kitty's rescue and the coyotes ran away. Kitty was rushed to the vet, luckily they got her there on time. She had a broken tooth and was being treated for brain swelling. As Kitty recovers Jack sits with her caring and making sure the coyotes don't come back.

Dog Alerts Parents to Child Abuse: Babysitter Found Guilty

Dogs (or quite aptly named mans best friend), have proved they're loyalty to humans on many accounts but recently one amazing dog alerted a family to abuse. Killian the Black Lab, German Shepherd mix has been known to be a very friendly dog, and open to most people. So when the dog started growling at the babysitter of 7 month old, Finn Jordan suspicions arose and the family immediately took action. The family put an Iphone under the living room couch to record what was happening when the left and what they heard was not only astonishing but also sickening. The baby sitter, Alexis Khan, could be heard cursing at the child, telling it to "Shut the **** up" and after a while of the baby crying what sounded like a slapping noise was heard and the distress cry quickly turned to a pain cry. Khan was charged with assult and battery and plead guilty where she was then sent to prison for three years and is never allowed to work with children again.
